Home / Services / Mobility and post-stroke support
Daily support after a stroke or a change in mobility
Returning home after a stroke or another change in mobility can make familiar routines feel much harder. We provide non-medical assistance with personal care, meals, mobility and household routines so the participant can stay at home with appropriate daily support.
Support may include
- Bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting assistance
- Walking, transfers and positioning support
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping and household organization
- Support with a written home routine prescribed by a licensed professional
- Companionship and encouragement during the adjustment home
An important distinction
Our caregivers follow the approved care plan and written instructions. They do not provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing or medical treatment unless the agency has separately arranged an appropriately licensed professional service.
Where a therapist has left a written home routine, a caregiver may assist within the approved plan. That is support with a prescribed routine, and we do not describe it as therapy.
Coming home from a hospital or rehabilitation stay? Call before discharge if you can. Confirming coverage and scheduling takes time, and starting early avoids a gap.

Call our office and we will explain what we can arrange, what the plan needs to authorize, and how soon care could begin.
